What to do with clippings from your yard? It’s an age-old question. How about making them into floral arrangements for your New Year’s party or brunch? It’s a great way to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Here are some ideas to inspire:
- Hydrangeas. Home decor guru Martha Stewart showed this on her website. Clematis winds through the flowers, accentuating the arrangement’s casual, All-American feel.
- Pansies. Better Homes and Gardens showed pansies (a winter flower which may still be blooming come New Year’s) arranged alongside pink roses, Hypericum, and sweet peas. The arrangement is photographed outside but would look great inside as well.
- Pots. Country Living showed an arrangement of common plants in a pot alonside flowers. Candles may be inserted, as long as there are no dry leaves or flowers.
