If you are trying to decide what landscape features to include in your residential or commercial landscape, consider water. Many people assume that water features are only pretty to look at and enjoy; however, their benefits go beyond their aesthetic value.
Water features like fountains, water falls, spouts and sprays for one, are very versatile. They can be added to pools, within walls, in the middle of the driveway, in front of buildings, etc. They can be made to look as formal as you like, or if you prefer a naturalistic design, they can be designed to look as if already part of the surrounding environment.
Besides it’s versatility, the sound of water has been proven to be soothing. But even better, water can create a sound barrier that helps to block out street noise.
