You probably have noticed that the farm to table movement has gained a lot of popularity these days. Restaurant goers around the world love the idea that they can get a truly fresh meal right at the table. But restaurants are loving the idea that they can grow their own veggies.
Recently, 3 Rings Design blog posted on the edible living wall. Being that in many urban areas space is limited and a garden would have to grow and operate in a very small footprint, this edible living wall is actually grown in the restaurant.
The living wall in this Los Angeles Pizzeria grows lettuce, peppermint, celery, parsley, sage, and other edible plants. When you live in an urban environment where green space is limited, sometimes you have to be creative. An edible living wall could be a very clever way to not only add a natural aesthetic to your business, but also as a great tool to teach individuals that going green is possible in any space.
