When it comes to landscape design, the most important decision you’ll have to make will be which plants you want to place in your yard. Here are some low-maintenance species that look fabulous in any landscape.
- Sedge – This grasslike plant comes in a variety of sizes and textures. You can allow it to grow as long as you want it to. Just remember to trim it in the spring to keep it looking fresh.
- Clover – Tough and resilient are the best ways to describe this flowering beauty. It doesn’t mind getting stepped on and looks stunning in the summer sun.
- Mondo Grass – Tired of mowing? You won’t have to worry about that ever again if you plant clumps of this throughout the yard. Simply plant the clumps and spread mulch or other filler in between.
- Lilyturf – Whether you have a sunny or shady yard, Lilyturf doesn’t mind. It is drought tolerant, but you will want to make sure to water it on a regular basis.
